Is bone broth halal?
Not automatically. Bone broth is halal when it comes from a permitted animal slaughtered the halal way, and when nothing haram is used in making it. A label that says "beef" does not tell you either of those things. The bones may come from non-halal slaughter, the factory may share its lines with pork products, and some flavourings are carried in alcohol.
That is why certification matters more than the ingredient list. It covers the parts of the process a label cannot show.
What halal certified means for this powder
The whole label is two ingredients: grass-fed beef bone broth powder and hyaluronic acid. No fillers, flavourings or sweeteners.
Independently audited
The supply chain is audited by an independent halal certifier.
No hidden additives
Two ingredients on the label, and nothing else in the pouch.
No shared lines
It is not made on lines shared with porcine products.
No alcohol carriers
There are no flavourings, so nothing is carried in alcohol.

A halal source of collagen and protein
If you are looking for halal collagen, bone broth is where collagen comes from in the first place. Each 15g serving of this powder carries 12g of collagen inside 14.3g of protein, along with the rest of the amino acids that come out of the bone in a 24-hour simmer.
Most collagen powders are a single protein extracted from hides or fish skin. This is the whole broth, dried. It is unflavoured, with no dairy and no whey, so it also works as a simple halal protein powder in coffee, soup or a smoothie.
We compare the two in bone broth vs collagen.
